4.0 out of 5 stars Great basic high chair with style., December 9, 2011

I had been looking for a high chair for a few months when I came across the Posh Pod. My 10 month old son was getting too big for his Mamas and Papas seat but I didn't want anything "circusy" and large. Many of the more streamlined and toned down chairs were quite expensive and had varied reviews. The Posh Pod had no reviews but for the price, I decided to give it a try.

The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because of its lack of some features found on many other chairs. These include adjustable height options, reclining seat and collapsibility. Although these options aren't things that I miss, they may be for others. Since my son is sitting up very well, the recline option doesn't apply. The legs do come off easily for storage but it would not fold flat as the seat is molded plastic. The height works nicely for us. The tray is the just slightly higher than our table (an inch or so) but it is a fixed height and could not reach an island or counter top.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great modern highchair without the high price tag!, December 7, 2011

We were looking for a modern high chair that would look good in our dining room as opposed to an eye sore that is all too common with most high chairs. There were several nice ones on the market but they were insanely expensive. We came across this one and were pleasantly surprised! It was the look we wanted at less than half the cost of the others.

Pros:
Modern sleek appearance
Easy to clean
Padded seat for added comfort

Cons:
The tray can be a bit difficult to put back on, but after some practice it's becoming easier.

All in all I think this is a nice highchair and we are very happy with our purchase.

We just bought the grey color and it is as cool as it looks in the photos. Very true to the pictures - I was afraid the legs were too splayed-out and would protrude out into the room too much, but they don't take up any more space than any other high chair while being much more streamlined. Ours arrived with one leg piece incorrectly assembled, but I emailed Safety 1st from their website and within a day got a response that they had shipped me a new piece! When it arrived a few days later, we assembled the rest of the chair in a few moments. I agree with another customer that the clips on the harness take some getting used to and are a bit tough at first. We are finding them easier with each use. Just be sure the legs are fully clipped into the base and test them by pulling on them as hard as you can (especially if you don't hear the "click.") One of our legs fell right off the first time I moved it, luckily not when my son was in the chair. I thought I had snapped each leg into... Read more
