It is hard to get good flavored decaf coffee so this was really a treat! This has a very rich chocolate flavor, that is much more pronounced than other flavored coffee. You can smell it emanating from the bag before even opening it. In addition, the coffee tastes fresh roasted, has no bitter after taste, and is as rich and flavorful as any regular non decaf brand. In fact, I found this coffee so satisfying that it is sufficient as a dessert just by itself after dinner or for a snack without the effects of caffeine. I highly recommend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Rich Taste, April 11, 2012

I ordered this Boyer decaf coffee based on the reviews. It has a lovely, smooth flavor. I don't taste the chocolate, or really smell it, but it tastes rich and wonderful to me. I'm stuck with non fat milk for health reasons, and this coffee tastes great with non fat milk and a packet of sugar. The Boyers takes the place of a cup of cocoa for me. It's a gentle, enjoyable experience to drink in the evening. It's in the comfort food category for me. I was worried that if I didn't like it I'd be stuck with three pounds of it, but I'll be happily drinking all of it.

We drink this coffee almost every morning! When we decided to switch to decaf, we decided that we wanted it to be tasty, so I sought out chocolate coffee. We've tried several brands, and this is our current favorite.

These taste great as long as you warm up the chocolate disc before brewing it. I run hot water over it while the milk disc brews.

If it is too cold in your house, they will be too solid and hardly anything will come out. It will just taste like hot water-milk. I'm guessing thats what any complaints are caused by. Check the disc after you brew, it should be empty.

We love this hot chocolate. It is the best we can get on Amazon. We have tried Cte d'or in France and Cadbury. They are even better, but these are not available unfortunately on Amazon US.

As a reporter for the Pennysaver, Lucy is assigned a puff piece on upscale Chanticleer's Chocolates. But when a local fisherman drowns suspiciously, Lucy's certain her investigative skills could be put to better use. Everyone is shocked when Fern's Famous Fudge loses its status as 'Best Candy on the Coast' to Chanticleer's pricey newfangled confections. And Lucy soon discovers sultry store manager Tamzin Graves is only too eager to serve her male clientele. Leaving a throng of jealous women in her wake, it's almost no surprise when Tamzin is the next to turn up dead, covered in chocolate. Could a bitter ex-wife be behind the crimes? "Chocolate Covered Murder" by Leslie Meier
    Hardcover edition: 249 pages
    Published by Kensington Books
    Genre: Mystery

In Leslie Meier's spirited 18th Lucy Stone mystery, "Chocolate Covered Murder," the author veers into adult and sometimes dark territory--a rare circumstance for this cozy author. But the story is richer and more complex than previous books.

The writing, too, is an improvement following 2010's "Wicked Witch Murder", or even "Star Spangled Murder" and "English Tea Murder"--all of which included plodding and predictable storylines.

Right from the beginning, Meier's writes with enough gust and suspense that the reader has no choice but to keep turning the pages to see what happens. And the storyline, unlike anything she as ever written before, seems almost out of place in the cozy town of Tinker's Cove. Even in past books, Meier's has never, at least to this reader's knowledge, ventured into sinister, violent terrain with her... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Keep them coming!, January 9, 2012
I have read all of the Lucy Stone mysteries and enjoy them. This latest installment was no exception. I was first drawn to the series when I read a Lucy Stone short story in a Christmas compilation. I then read all of the mysteries in chronological order and loved the progression of Lucy's family. The books have slowed down a bit as Lucy has gotten older, which is fine. I just wish they had gone a bit slower towards the beginning! I also read the Hannah Swenson mysteries by Joanne Fluke, and I prefer Lucy Stone mysteries because they seem a bit more realistic. Obviously reading a mystery series based in a small town requires you to suspend a lot of belief, but you either accept that or not. If it's not your cup of tea, stick to single novels or mysteries based in larger cities. I love reading about Tinker Cove, so Chocolate Covered Murder was a nice return after English Tea Murder which took place in England. This was a fun read and a nice little foray back into Lucy Stone's life. I... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars delightful sweet cozy, December 27, 2011
The weather outside is frightful in wintery Tinker's Cove, Maine, but that does not prevent Pennysaver reporter Lucy Stone from completing her outdoor chores. She drops off her children at their various jobs and reports on the new exquisite chocolate shop Chanticleer's Chocolates owned by Trey Meacham. One of Lucy's youngest offspring works at Chanticleer's Chocolates; but Lucy does not think the store manager Tamzin Graves is a good influence so she gets her daighter fired.

Tragedy strikes when fisherman Max Fraser falls through the ice. The ME rules it an accident, but Lucy who owed Max believes a murder occurred. To pay the late Max back, Lucy investigates. A second death occurs when the chocolate covered naked Tamzin lies dead in Chanticleer's. The police arrest co-owner Dora of Fern's Famous Fudge, but Lucy believes the suspect is innocent. Her inquiry places her on the list of a murderer observing her investigation.

This delightful sweet (unless... Read more
