Chocolate whimsy,
July 6, 2000 By A Customer
This review is from: Magic Chocolate (Hardcover)
This book is filled with great ideas and techniques for creating chocolate centerpieces and decorations for any occasion. Franz Ziegler has a very unique, cartoon-like style to his pieces that is very appealing. Though the instruction on working with chocolate is styled so that even an amature can give the projects a try, I think this book is more suited to a professional, or people with working knowledge of chocolate and couveture. There is also great instruction for making several different kinds of molds which is helpful when you don't always have access or fundings for some of the more expensive, hard to find materials such as silicone. There are also several drawings so that you can replicate any of the projects in the book. It is a great and inspiring book that is great for browsing and does not need to be read cover to cover.
