Mocha powders, ground chocolate and ordinary milk chocolate chips are no substitute. Ghiradelli Barista Dark Chocolate Chips are the answer for intense flavor and pure, velvety chocolate. This chocolate works well for making hot chocolate also. The taste blends well with coffee and/or milk drinks.It comes tightly packed in a resealable plastic bag inside a box and will probably last me about 6 months. I keep some in a glass jar to keep by the latte machine. The chips are much smaller than regular chocolate chips. When the steamed milk is going into the glass, rapid stirring is required or else the chips tend to melt together into a blob and stick to the glass. If you live in a really hot climate, be careful ordering this in summer if there's a chance the delivery will get left on a sunny porch. |
