Everything else about the bag design is the same, so it's pretty sneaky! I rated it lower because of this. I wish there were more Kona coffee providers available, because sneaky moves like this are borderline unethical. It's too bad that my husband loves this coffee. The coffee comes in a vacuum-sealed package (or is supposed to come like that). This is to keep the beans fresh, and after the package is opened, you're supposed to store it in the freezer, to continue to keep the beans fresh.The problem is, the packages you receive are not vacuum-sealed. The seals are broken and the beans are at some degree of staleness on arrival. You don't know how stale they are because you don't know how long it's been since the vacuum seals were broken. It still tastes like coffee, you can still taste the macadamia and the chocolate, but you can also tell that it's a bit off-flavor as well. This is a great coffee, but don't purchase it through this seller unless you don't mind receiving stale beans. |
