The second ingredient listed is almond butter. I didn't realize that it had changed and bought some. It's cheaper now, but not as good. Very disappointing. Old review: I love Nutella, but I stopped eating it because it has dairy (I'm allergic) and hydrogenated fat. So, I was very excited to find Justin's Chocolate Hazelnut Butter. This product is non-dairy, has no hydrogenated fat, and has less sugar than Nutella. While it is good, I think it tastes a little too salty, especially if you put it on a cracker, since they also tend to be salty. My final descriptions would have to be: good stuff, could be great with a little less salt. In fact, "organic evaporated cane juice", better known simply as sugar, is listed as the primary ingredient by weight. There are no unusual or notable flavors detectable other than chocolate and a hint of vanilla but the ingredients taste fresh. The tablet is not too thick nor is it too thin. Overall, a good but not notable and rather nondescript 54% cocoa bar for people who enjoy a higher cocoa content than milk chocolate but who don't like the taste of 70%+ dark chocolate. Rainforest Alliance Certified Cocoa used in Newman's Own Organics products meets this requirement. As for this product, 54% cocoa is a nice step up for people who normally do not like dark chocolate. While it may be a bit tame for those who like really dark chocolate, I thought it was quite good. It has a nice smooth texture that didn't have the waxy feel of standard store-bought chocolate. It melted smoothly without any off flavors or nasty aftertaste. So what's not to like? The price is a bit steep even for premium chocolate. Given a choice, I will stick to Divine (certified Fair Trade) for the few times I give into the chocolate urge. They are my favorite decadent treat right now. I've ordered several of the 12 packs over time because my local stores in Upstate New York keep going out of stock on this item. The 12-pack is well shipped in box that is suitable to break open for display in a retail setting and it works great for home use too. I've never had a broken candy bar in my orders from Amazon and the bars are dated almost a year in the future so they are fresh and will keep for a long time to come. I've been ordering in the fall and winter this year with no problems. Updated 5/12/11 I came back to order another batch, when I saw that the price went from $27(eligible for free shipping) on 3/17/11 to $47 plus shipping. When the price on the on the product fluctuates I use a price alert tool. This is a nice online tool that I use to help catch a good price on Amazon, this tool is called "Online Price Alert". This tool will send you an email when the Amazon item price reaches the target price range that you specify. If you search on "online price alert" in Google it will be come up at the top.
